Job summary:

The Manager of Learning & Development is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of employee development while ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals and values. The individual is responsible for the design, implementation, facilitation and administration of training and leadership development initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducts a needs analysis of the organization's learning needs by consulting organizational leaders and HR, analyzing data, and conducting research.

  • Plans, designs, develops, leads, facilitates and administers current and new leadership development initiatives and to include webinars, roundtables, in-person learning, coaching, workshops, with end to end program planning, etc. as applicable.

  • Evaluates existing learning and development initiatives to suggest improvements as organizational priorities evolve.

  • Establishes clear expectations for learners in each L&D initiative, and fosters an environment conducive to learning and growth.

  • Collaborates with subject-matter experts within the organization as well as vendors to develop L&D initiatives aligned to the organization's needs.

  • Manages and revises enterprise-level colleague onboarding content and experience, as organizational changes dictate.

  • Evaluates the impact and return on investment of L&D initiatives by tracking learning metrics, and uses data to make the case for additional investments.

  • Manages assigned projects using effective project management techniques, including managing stakeholders, logistics, budget, and administration.

  • Stays up to date on L&D best practices and methodologies to enhance and evolve the organization's learning solutions, and serves as a champion for a learning culture in the organization.

  • Actively promotes the development of Alight's learning culture

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or another relevant discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a learning & development or organizational development role.

  • Experienced facilitator for in-person or virtual meetings, training, webinars for all levels of the organization with knowledge and application of adult learning theory.

  • Experienced in innovative instructional design (PowerPoint or equivalent presentations, e-learning, workshop and webinar content, etc.)

  • Experience with assessment and psychometric tools.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, learning content authoring tools like Articulate, Camtasia, and others as needed.

  • Ability to proactively manage multiple projects/priorities with agility, based on established timelines with attention to quality and be flexible with ad hoc requests in a fast-paced environment

  • Must possess the ability to effectively work in teams as well as independently

  • Must be able to facilitate using MS Teams or equivalent, including but not limited to proficiency with participant engagement tools like breakout rooms, polling, whiteboards, ...)

  • Solid innovative, solution-oriented thinking, creative problem solving, communication skills and demonstrated skills in project management

  • Possess strong evaluation and consulting skills for learning program improvements

  • Detail oriented with the capacity to think critically, focus on specific tasks with the understanding of how those tasks support larger objectives

  • Excellent interpersonal, influence, facilitation and consulting skills. Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver and partner at various levels in the organization.

  • Effective report writing and record keeping abilities

  • A clear passion for all things learning and development with a willingness to learn and adapt as needed.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Adult Learning/Education certification.

  • Master's in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or another relevant discipline.

  • CPLP or CPTM

  • Prior experience mentoring and coaching

  • Psychometric tool(s) certification(s) such as DiSC

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :

65,600 USD

Maximum :

104,100 USD
