Summary:

The Social Event Coordinator role is responsible for developing and implementing programs and activities that provide life-enriching opportunities for the residents.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field required.
  2. License/Certifications: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Certified Activity Director or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistance required. Valid Driver's License required. Current BLS Certification or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  3. Experience: Experience working with seniors in a residential setting required.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Demonstrated understanding of stages of dementia.
