Job Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator facilitates human resources processes to support effective and efficient operations of Dynamo's Talent Management (HR) department. This role administers a variety of complex and routine services such as onboarding/offboarding staff, administering various human resources programs and initiatives, managing and overseeing records, generating reports and fostering positive employee relations. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. This role will require 2 days a week on-site (Tuesday & Thursday) at our Vienna, VA Headquarters Office.

Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Conducts new hire orientation and team member offboarding interviews and completes associated tasks and checklists.
  • Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to personnel activities such as staffing, training, grievances, performance evaluations, terminations etc.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, and other compliance reviews.
  • Assists with management and oversight of company-wide Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • May administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, etc.
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Required Skills and Experience



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.


Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience required.
  • SHRM-CP/PHR preferred.


Travel requirement



  • Possibly as determined by business needs.
