The Opportunity
SunStream Business Services, a leading managed IT service provider that supports Farm Credit lending institutions, is seeking a Business Applications Analyst to support our Financial Technology (Fintech) offerings. This position plays a critical role in delivering support to clients both internal and external on application system issues primarily on financial and loan actions systems, including all relevant subsidiary applications. The position requires close collaboration with product owners, developers, business analysts, loan accountants and project managers to ensure our clients maximize the utility and efficiency of their applications.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leverage your Application Expertise to research and identify the root cause of application issues.
  
  
  
  • Provide best practice solutions and advisement to clients to optimize system usage.
  • Develop and generate custom reports.
  
  
  
  
• Deliver day-to-day support to external clients on business applications via phone, email, and other digital communication, using industry-standard customer service practices.
  
  
  
  • Escalate and communicate application issues effectively following protocols, estimating resource needs and providing feedback on project timelines.
  • Adhere to Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and ticket management protocols, maintaining a strong client-service focus.

  • Conduct regular testing of application updates and changes, collaborating on test plan development and execution to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in project discussions, contributing to alignment on application enhancements and client needs.
  
  
  
  
• Communication and Training
  
  
  
  • Update user documentation and training materials with each system enhancement, ensuring all content is accessible and clear.
  • Communicate system updates to customers and provides training as requested, enabling clients to leverage new functionality fully
  
  
  
  

What You'll Bring to the Table

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, finance, preferred or related field
• 2-4 years of related experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
• Strong client support skills, with track record in delivering B2B support for business critical applications
• Working knowledge of loan accounting and financial accounting systems, including FiServ DNA
• General knowledge of Farm Credit System accounting processes and procedures
• General knowledge of business services and principles
• Clear, professional communication skills for effective collaboration and information exchange with peers, supervisors, and clients.
• Skill in proofreading and editing documents
• Excellent organizational skills, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely completion amidst frequent interruptions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with standard business software, with strong analytical skills for formulating clear, objective conclusions
