ELECTRONICS GENERAL FOREMAN/ SUPERVISOR

GENERAL FUNCTION: Directs multiple production phases within Company and ensures production budget and project schedules are met. Supervises Foremen and/or Lead Worker Supervisors. Performs under the general direction of Superintendent.

TYPICAL DUTIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.

*Advises foremen regarding supervision of lead workers and/or employees.
*Ensures safe working conditions in production areas. Assists supervisors in conducting safety meetings.
*Reviews project specifications and engineering drawings and provides input for project build strategies and project schedules.
*Reviews work stations to ensure proper resources are available for workforce to work in the most efficient manner and production performance indicators are being meet.
*Coordinates work assignments with foremen to ensure workforce is deployed effectively.
*Reviews employee performance and provides necessary training needed to enhance employee skills and productivity.
*Monitors project budgets and schedule performance and provides input for project cost.
*Ensures quality of department products, drawing adherence, procedure adherence and quality objectives are meet.
*Coordinates with superintendent and quality control manager to ensure product compliance with company standards and specifications.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

*Comprehensive knowledge of specific area of responsibility (i.e. electrical, welding).
*Considerable knowledge of maritime operations and company policies and procedures.
*Ability to comprehend project contracts, specifications, schedules, work plans, and engineering drawings.
*Ability to manage departmental budgets and work schedules.
*Must be able to overcome obstacles and complete assignments timely.

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: High school diploma or GED with minimum of three years' production supervisory experience required. Five years' production supervision and Microsoft Office experience preferred.
