Data Administrator, Programs B

Location: Pascagoula, MS

Position Overview:

The Data Administrator, Programs B plays a key role in supporting the Configuration Management (CM) process within Engineering by maintaining metrics for the Configuration Control Board (CCB) across multiple programs. This position ensures that released deliverables are properly transferred to the customer and tracked within Program Data Management Systems. Additionally, the Program Data Administrator establishes and maintains configuration control for all program-generated change documents, both electronically and in hard copy.

This role reports directly to the Program Data Manager and works closely with Engineering, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Purchasing, Accounting, and Production Control teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliverable Management:

  • Transfer Engineering and Program Deliverables to the customer via the Customer Portal.
  • Conduct a final review of deliverables before submission.
  • Manage CDRL (Contract Data Requirements List) submissions, tracking, and reporting.
  • Handle government comment letters related to CDRL submissions as required.

* Change & Configuration Management:

o Maintain and track Program Change Documentation, including:

  1. Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
  2. Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
  3. Technical Publications (TPs)
  4. Technical Instructions (TIs)
  5. Product Technical Specifications / Statements of Work (PTS/SOWs)
  6. Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  7. Requests for Variance (RFVs)
  8. Government-Furnished Information/Documentation (GFI/GFID)
  9. Identify, document, and audit files and file structures within SharePoint for Document Control and Configuration Management.

o Track and audit dynamic change logs for in- and out-of-scope changes, ensuring a detailed audit trail of program design modifications.

o Conduct Lien Management audits in KMS or R3 systems to ensure proper lien capture and completion.

* Data & Contract Management:

  1. Provide contract management support, including data rights administration.
  2. Support Bill of Material (BOM) development and maintenance, including DCAA Audit Corrections and Accuracy Reporting.
  3. Maintain IDE (Integrated Digital Environment) access and PKI renewals, if necessary.
  4. Manage NSERC/COMMS Exchange Accounts.

* Collaboration & Support:

  • Interface with Engineering, ILS, Purchasing, Accounting, Production Control, and management as needed.
  • Assist the program group with related tasks and perform other incidental duties as assigned.

Required/Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with Program Management, Project Teams, Engineering, and Production Personnel to meet contractual requirements.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with database administration tools (Microsoft Access, SQL Server, or Oracle) is a plus.

* Ability to prepare presentation materials for meetings.

* Comprehensive understanding of configuration and change management processes for federal government shipbuilding programs, including adherence to industry regulations and company standards.

* Familiarity with shipbuilding procedures, including:

  1. Identifying and documenting functional and physical characteristics of configured items.
  2. Controlling changes to those characteristics.
  3. Managing the change and implementation process.

* Strong interpersonal skills to maintain productive working relationships with employees, customers, and subcontractors.

* Knowledge of:

  1. Configuration item identification and change order processes.
  2. Configuration management milestones.
  3. Ships Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS).

Education & Experience:

* College degree preferred.

* 1 year of shipbuilding experience in configuration management, program administration, or a related field.
