Department:HOUSING AND HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT Organizational Unit:Community Resources (50000028) Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time CLOSE DATE: 03/10/2025 THIS POSITION IS APPOINTIVE SERVICE/GRANT FUNDED $17.73 to $19.50 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Cocoa/Dr. Joe Lee Smith Recreation Center. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may include weekends as needed. Performs experienced technical work screening and determining eligibility of applicants to the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and/or Emergency Services. The work includes gathering and assessing personal and confidential information of applicants. REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative and/or office experience including one (1) year of working with the public. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience working with the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and/or the Emergency Services Program is preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man made disaster, which may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
