Job Summary

The Operations Support Specialist is responsible for assigned duties related to the physician contracting process, including coordinating information needed from health system departments and hospital administration to process contracts and contract changes, finalizing applicable contract exhibits ensuring compliance checklist steps are completed, and assisting with fair market value assessments.

Essential Functions
  • Assist with weekly /monthly /quarterly contracting data reporting, validation, and distribution.
  • Support Medical Group and Legal data needs.
  • Contracting database maintenance to track contract workflow process and data metrics.
  • Support Physician Contracting as well as the medical group and individual hospitals in a variety of ad hoc data reporting.
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of contracting data daily.
  • Management of the contracting intake process for specific service lines.
  • Work in conjunction with Physician Contracting Director and other Corewell Health East leaders to evaluate, design, and enhance reporting methodology and metrics.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to the Operations Support Analysts and Physician Contract Specialists within the department as applicable.
  • Evaluate and interpret data findings accurately and translate into relevant and clear conclusions for target audience.
  • Critically evaluate data integrity and reconcile data inconsistencies.
  • Participate in process improvement analysis and assist with implementation working with the appropriate team members.
  • Represents Physician Contracting at committee or departmental meetings as appropriate.
  • Supports programs and business needs as directed by the director of Physician Contracting and assists with project management.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent In business administration or health administration.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience health care operational experience
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience health care operational and/or financial data analytic experience

Preferred

  • Master's Degree
