Job Description

Exciting Job Opportunity at MSK: Payroll Associate Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

    Provide superior customer service to all employees and external business partners, by providing precise and accurate guidance to all inquiries via email.
  • Work with the tax team, reviewing daily tax reports generated in Workday, transmitting tax payments to ADP for 40+ states and reconciling tax liabilities and payments.
  • Assist MSK's telecommuter population with tax forms and questions.
  • Submit state and local registration to ADP and maintain compliance to ensure MSK is taxing employees correctly.
  • Work with the Operations Team as needed for processes such as Vacation Payouts, loads and EIBs, and Workday Retro Processing.
  • Perform daily audits of data entered by employees and payroll staff.
  • Communicate with agencies and employees in all matters relating to Withholding Orders. Ensure that orders are set up correctly in compliance with the law, remitted to the appropriate agencies, and that electronic files received are accurate.
  • Create and submit labor reports for federal, state, NYS, and NJ Dept of Labor to the Bureau of Statistics.
  • Ensure that daily, biweekly, and post-confirm audit reports generated in Workday, are reviewed, and distributed as needed.
  • Act as liaison with Chase bank and MSK treasury department to troubleshoot employee ACH and check issues.
  • Manage the ACH returns and communication with the employees.
  • Prepare documentation requested by internal and external auditors and the MSK Legal Department. External auditors include accounting firms, the IRS, various state agencies, and Workers' Compensation auditors.
  • Build and maintain spreadsheets and metrics for the department detailing results of processes.

Qualifications - you have:

  • 2-4 years payroll experience
  • BA in Business or Accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word

  • Schedule: Hybrid, with flexibility required to be onsite multiple days per week or as needed
  • Location: 633 Third Avenue, NYC
  • Report to: Manager, Payroll Training & Operations
  • Pay Range: $67,900.00-$105,300.00
