Job Summary
The Department of Poultry Science is looking for a student to assist with administrative and clerical tasks at the Charles C. Miller Jr. Poultry Research & Education Center.
Essential Functions
Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering the phone
  • Receiving, greeting, and directing visitors and students
  • Providing general information to the public
  • Coordinating shipping, mail, and other delivery services
  • Assisting with the planning and coordination of events
  • Performing a variety of routine clerical and administrative tasks for faculty and staff
  • Serving as a member of a team providing support services and information

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as an Auburn University undergraduate student.
  • Must maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.


Expectations:

  • Knowledge of various office equipment.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.
  • Must be highly organized, disciplined, dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and flexible.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in an office setting.
Pay Rate $10.00 - $13.50/hour
