Job Overview

The Pricing Analyst will analyze and process all submitted RFP's to profitably develop and grow customer business for Red Classic through continual network analysis, market analysis, and benchmarking. Pricing Analysts participate in a team environment, collaborating with all departments, to ensure network compliance and optimization as well as profitable revenue generation. Pricing Analysts will assist management with network reporting and metrics to aid others in the primary functions of their roles which will ensure revenue growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and submits all asset pricing opportunities (RFP's, RFQ's and spot quotes)
  • Reviewscurrent market rates, with an understanding of current business needs and provides recommendations on revenue-generating opportunities and opportunities to improve operating efficiency
  • Conductsa detailed analysis and solicits feedback from internal business partners on all customer bids and pricing requests to profitably develop and grow customer business
  • Partners cross-functionally to support brokerage revenue and margin growth through strategic rate analyses and to support sales during RFP review and other presentations by providing data to support informed business decisions
  • Organizes meetings that collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Brokerage to review pricing and network strategies
  • Participates in cross-functional projects which require Pricing representation
  • Analyzes and remains current on all network (internal) and industry (external) market data to include rates, freight volumes, and truck capacities
  • Assists in performing ad hoc analysis of projects/investments and determines the financial impact of an investment or decision made to evaluate whether the project/investment was successful, or if adjustments are required
  • Evaluates the performance of the business compared to budgeted results and delivers insights to executive leaders on the drivers of business performance
  • Organizes and maintains customer rate and related files, remaining current on all Red Classic customer rates through annual bids and/or rate reviews

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • 1+ years of truckload asset or brokerage, over-the-road pricing experience required
  • 3+ years of truckload, over-the-road other experience required with operations, sales, or pricing background

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (4 years)
  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience

  • Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent work-related experience



Preferred Qualifications

  • Transportation industry experience
  • Tableau and analytics skills
