Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Scrum Master will be a member of the EPI project and support a single Scrum Team
- Act as key liaison across businesses, other agile teams, and the program team
- Represent the team in Release Train Syncs and helps the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforces the agreements
- Ensure the program has a healthy product backlog (in collaboration with the POs)
- Contribute to the successful implementation of prioritized Epics by optimizing the flow of stories and the value delivered
- Work with the Agile Coach, RTE and Scrum Masters to improve the maturity of Agile processes across the organization
- Coordinate agile ceremonies, manage dependencies for the team, provide visibility into team plans and progress, and enable continuous improvement within the team and organization
- Coach team(s) on the work management tools and adherence to the enterprise change standards
- Maintain project documentation and deliverables in accordance with Enterprise Change requirements
- Enable the team to become high performing through collaboration and a relentless focus on continuous improvement
- Measure team delivery, maturity, and performance and review the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate across the ART to create program level transparency, visibility and drive commitment
- Guide others to deal with situations of conflict, ambiguity, and uncertainty
- Promote the Agile mindset and principles, empower the team to become self-managing and fulfill their cross-functional potential
Requirements:
- 3+ years of previous experience working in an Agile environment
- Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban and Agile practices
- SAFe Scrum Master certification
- Familiarity with JIRA, Remedy, Agileview, Confluence
- Deep knowledge of client Enterprise Change Management and Release Management Process
- Ability to adapt to change and identify efficiency opportunities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Energetic self-starter with a positive attitude who enjoys thinking critically to solve problems
- Strong servant leader
- Intellectual curiosity with aptitude to understand and communicate details of technical systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Understands all aspects of Program Increment Planning from preparation to execution
- Strong knowledge and experience with Deliverable, Epic and User Story documentation
- A creative and strategic thinker with the ability to influence, build trusted relationships across the organization, deal constructively with conflict, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Change and Release Management experience and knowledge
- Able to manage timelines and communicate feature status within the team but also with leadership and business partners
- Agile Scrum Master
