ABOUT THE JOB

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Business Development Manager to establish and maintain market presence; identify and develop client relationships; locate, develop, and negotiate business relationships; and close sales.

Job Functions:

  • Identifying opportunities and maintaining the sufficient sales pipeline needed to achieve strategic growth targets as defined by management
  • Establishing, building, and maintaining customer relationships and assessing competitor capabilities aligned to specific customers across our business portfolio
  • Working in a team environment with senior management, project, and field staff to understand procurement processes, and develop successful market strategies, strategic partnerships, and competitive analysis
  • Communicating client insights to the Construction Division and Proposal and Marketing Team to ensure that company messaging stays aligned with client needs
  • Developing, tracking, and executing business development tasks from lead generation through award utilizing the CRM system
  • Working closely with proposal management team to develop compliant, winning proposals
  • Supporting marketing efforts by developing capability briefings, responses to market research/sources sought, and working with program and technical leads to properly develop and market technical capabilities
  • Creating and attending meetings to present customized messages to new and existing clients
  • Participating and providing support to trade shows, conferences, and other sales-related functions as requested
  • Maintaining effective and ethical use of travel and expenses as defined by management and per company policies

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, construction, engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in the A/E/C market preferred
  • Knowledge of federal procurement for defense and civilian agencies
  • Excellent motivational and influencing skills, with high level of personal integrity
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to develop leads through a variety of options
  • Working knowledge of sam.gov and GovWin tools preferred
  • Solid, developed client network
