Summary:

A meaningful educational experience for a college student to gain valuable experience in their field of study while accomplishing tasks and completing projects in an enriching environment. The Corporate Services Summer Intern(s) will support the CHRISTUS Health Plan by assisting with initiatives related to training, development, policy and procedure documentation, and organizational improvement.

The Intern will gain networking opportunities that include interactions with CHRISTUS leaders and Associates. They will be provided with a variety of projects to support learning objectives, including curriculum development, policy research and documentation, process improvement, and employee engagement initiatives. Through this experience, the Intern will enhance their understanding of organizational development, instructional design, policy management, and strategic learning initiatives within a mission-driven health organization.

Responsibilities:


  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Training and Development: Assist in creating and updating training materials, facilitation of presentations, and eLearning content.
  • Policy and Procedure: Assist with Health Plan policies and procedures including managing workflows and preparing teams for policy review and committee meetings. Meeting with SMEs on any concerns or outstanding deliverables.
  • Organizational Improvement: Support projects related to process improvement, associate belonging, cultural events, and assist in developing communication materials for engagement initiatives

Requirements:

Experience:


  • At least 2 years of college preparation toward major.

Education:


  • Currently enrolled in a College degree program in one of the following majors;Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Human Resources, Organizational Management, Communication, or a related field.
  • PC and Microsoft Office Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with others.
  • Quick learner with attention to detail, a high degree of confidentiality, and solid organizational skills.
  • Needs to be resourceful, innovative, and persuasive with the ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
