As the Respiratory Therapist you will work under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, and will be primarily responsible for the management of respiratory patients and their home medical equipment needs.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Deliver and set up DME equipment; driving constitutes 50% or more of daily tasks
  • Train patient / caregiver regarding equipment use
  • Clinical management of respiratory patient equipment (vent/CPAP/Oxygen)
  • Complete all clinical documentation including chart notes, equipment settings, compliance, etc.
  • Bi-weekly on-call rotation after hours and weekends (emergency patient calls and ocassional home visitis)
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with physicians and healthcare providers to facilitate healthcare delivery
  • Adhere to infection control procedures
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Nevada state license to practice respiratory care
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • CPR certified or willing to become certified upon hire
  • Knowledge with setting up ventilators, education / training patients on ventilator use or willingness to learn
  • Willing to participate in on-call rotation
  • Insurable by United Health Service's auto insurance company with a clean driving record and hold a current NV driver's license
  • Access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to client and / or patient sites within a designated area



The hourly range for this role is $23.70 to $46.35 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
