Our financial client out in Knoxville, TN is seeking an Information Security Analyst II to join their team. This role will work alongside another security analyst and the broader IT team to proactively protect the systems, employees, and members of the credit union. Responsibilities include: - reading through email reports to assess risk - reviewing web access requests - conducting monthly security awareness trainings for new hires - reviewing logs from their SIEM tool - working in the security tool stack - conducting phishing campaigns - owning various ongoing projects. Tool stack: - Exabeam for SIEM - Mimecast - Sophos Central for EDR - vulnerability scans with Tenable - new data classification tool from Netwrix to help classify PII - PasswordState for password management - Netskope web filter They've recently started down the path of a more proactive security approach, like deploying a Kali Linux laptop to test their environment. Everyone on the team is responsible for maintaining information security, but a candidate who is able to help train and enable the team on best practices would be ideal. This person also has the opportunity to find areas of improvement and suggest a product or solution, work with the vendor, get a quote, and own the deployment and management with guidance from the AVP of IT. Compliance regulations and laws that apply come from the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, National Credit Union Administration, Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council, and NIST standards. *Required Skills* security, compliance, siem, monitoring, risk management, end user training, phishing, email monitoring, log reviews, documentation, vulnerability scanning *Skills Details* - Experience as a cybersecurity analyst working with technical teams, non-technical end users, and software/hardware vendors. Ideal work history includes reviewing email reports, organizing and executing phishing campaigns, gathering and reviewing logs from a SIEM tool, training end users on security best practices, working with software vendors to deploy new tools, running vulnerability scans, following up on vulnerability scans to resolve issues, and collaborating with systems and networking teams for a wholistic approach to security. - Experience in other IT disciplines outside of security (helpdesk/desktop/systems/networking) to better partner with the IT team as a whole and be better equipped to resolve escalations from the helpdesk. - Open minded and collaborative, interested in learning how and why procedures are in place, and interested in growing with the team - Good troubleshooting skills: ability to identify problems and use all resources available to find a solution (teammates, knowledge base, manager, internet, etc) - Security certifications such as Sec+, CySA+, CEH, CASP+, GCIH, SSCP, GSEC, CISM, CISSP, etc. At least two preferred. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* This team works very closely together. Candidates should be able to work alongside systems and networking teams, as well as the non-technical employees of the credit union during user security awareness trainings. They prefer candidates with security certifications such as the Sec+, CySA+, CEH, or higher level. This is a 12 month contract to hire and has to sit onsite Monday-Friday 8am-4:45pm EST in Knoxville, TN. Once converted full time, candidates can work a hybrid schedule with 2 days/week onsite (Wed and Thurs). *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.86/hr.
