Job Description This is a customer-facing role responsible for driving growth of new Power Control business in North America. This is an opportunity to be a key contributor in taking market share from our competitors with the latest, differentiated power technology. This role will coordinate activities with customers, domain experts, sales, distribution, business unit and global counterparts to drive growth in Metals, Forest Products, Water/Waste Water, Mining, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Renewable Energy, and other target industries. This position will be based within the Central US and will report to our ITD Solution Consultant Manager. Responsibilities - What You'll Do:
- Creates and develops new ideas to generate market demand in focus solutions and industries.
- Conducts market research to identify new target applications, and accounts to accelerate growth.
- Works with the NA business leaders and sales team to identify customers with high potential new power business in focus industries and applications.
- Defines the conversion strategy, drives the actions, and removes barriers to convert identified customers to a Rockwell solution. This is done in collaboration with business units, domain experts and sales team.
- Creates and maintains a funnel of new opportunities and active pursuits, including keeping opportunities updated in the customer relationship management tool.
- Provides customers a power solution that meets their desired outcomes for identified projects and applications. That solution will often include integration with other elements of an RA or 3rd party control system.
- Collaborates with RA domain experts, distributor domain experts, and key business units (Low Voltage Drives, Low Voltage MCCs, Medium Voltage Drives, Medium Voltage MCCs and Systems Solutions Business) to define the solution that meets the customer's needs.
- Ensures smooth hand off to appropriate RA delivery organization to manage project execution.
- Works with domain experts, sales team, distribution, and customers to document and share application success stories.
- Enables domain experts and sales teams to win future projects through collaboration with them on pursuits. Drives competency and confidence for them to sell RA power solutions in target industries and applications.
- Provides ongoing business development input to the Regional Power Business Manager and Global Product Managers, including required product functionality, pricing, promotion programs, and pre-sales and post-sales collateral.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years or relevant work experience
- Valid driver's license
- Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 Years or more of sales experience in industrial automation.
- Ability to create and strengthen customer relationships, including demonstrated ability to engage customers at executive level.
- Experience creating and executing market access and/or account development plans.
- Knowledge of applying variable frequency drives in one or more of these heavy industries: Metals, Forest Products, W/WW, Mining, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Renewable Energy.
- Knowledge of the competitive landscape for variable frequency drives and automation.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Business.
- Experience collaborating with global sales teams and global customers.
- Capability to lead and facilitate win strategy process.
- Experience managing opportunity funnel Ability to manage complex opportunities involving multiple customers in the supply chain (OEMs, SIs, End Users, Consultants), including customers with headquarters outside North America.
- Ability to coordinate activities with multiple stakeholders including business unit resources, sales, and technical resources to drive successful conversion of target customers.
