Job Overview

The Specialist, Developer - Digital Personalization delivers website optimization and customized experience strategies across the website and other touchpoints for Macy's and Bloomingdale's as a member of the Data Systems team. This specialist configures, administers, and operates Adobe Target to build multi-channel campaigns while leveraging Web Analytics tools for performance tracking and insights. Additionally, the role imparts best practices, supports enhancements, and troubleshoots issues across experiences and integrations.

What You Will Do

• Execute website optimization and personalized experience strategies across all digital touchpoints.
• Develop and manage multi-channel campaigns using Adobe Target.
• Collaborate with upstream and downstream teams to implement testing and personalization strategies effectively.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve configuration and integration issues.
• Partner with analytics teams to measure and analyze customized site experiences.
• Diagnose and address technical challenges related to personalized site experiences.
• Utilize Visual Experience Composer (VEC), JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, along with data collection methods (tags, APIs), to support personalization and optimization via Adobe Target.
• Lead technical initiatives with IT, site management, and creative teams to ensure timely execution of testing and personalization strategies.
• Implement and advise on site merchandising experiences, such as countdown timers, pre-order messaging, and promotional copy.
• Work with analytics teams to track key performance metrics and generate insights using Adobe Analytics and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA).
• Document and share best practices, process improvements, and prioritization guidelines for Adobe Target across the organization.
• Conduct ad-hoc training sessions for analysts to enhance platform utilization.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.
• In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.

Skills You Will Need

Adobe Target Expertise - Proficient in configuring, administering, and operating Adobe Target to build multi-channel campaigns, conduct A/B testing, and optimize site personalization.

Web Analytics & Data-Driven Decision Making - Experience with Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), or similar tools to measure performance and generate insights for personalized experiences.

Technical Proficiency - Strong understanding of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Visual Experience Composer (VEC), with experience in data collection methods such as tags and APIs.

Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving - Ability to diagnose and resolve configuration, integration, and performance issues related to website personalization and optimization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration - Strong ability to work with IT, site management, creative teams, and analytics teams to execute personalization strategies effectively.

Project Management & Organization - Highly organized and responsive, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving business needs.

Business & Functional Requirements Execution - Skilled in capturing and executing business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with overall strategy.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management - Experience working with third-party technology vendors, agencies, and contractors to support personalization and testing initiatives.

Communication & Documentation - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and share best practices, process improvements, and training materials.

Training & Knowledge Sharing - Ability to conduct ad-hoc training sessions for analysts and internal teams to enhance Adobe Target utilization and best practices.

Who You Are

• Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 2-3 years of experience with A/B testing and site personalization efforts, preferably leveraging Adobe Target.
• Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
• Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
