This position serves UC Davis Health as a journey-level therapist, with two or more years of experience as a licensed physical therapist and has experience working in a variety of clinical settings. Apply By Date: March 16, 2025 at 11:59 PM Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position California Licensed Physical Therapist American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification OR UC Davis Health CPR Must have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in the U.S., or completed requirements for foreign-trained physical therapists working in the U.S. and have graduated from an accredited physical therapy program Mut have a demonstrated minimum of 2 or more years of experience as a licensed physical therapist and have experience working in a variety of clinical settings Demonstrated experience working in an acute care physical therapy setting Demonstrated experience in documentation via Electronic Medical Records Must be able to perform all responsibilities of a licensed Physical Therapist as required and assigned by PM&R (Physical Medicine and Rehab Leadership Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Must see well enough to observe patient reactions and read relevant monitors and device settings Ability to clearly and concisely document in writing, all relevant information into the patient's medical record Effectively communicate with patients and staff throughout the day Must possess the physical strength to assist with patient mobility Must possess sufficient mobility to traverse the distances required to serve patients throughout the institution Must have basic computer skills Preferred Qualifications Have a Credentialed Clinical Instructor Certification through American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or the willingness to obtain CI A Masters or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy Key Responsibilities 90% - Provide Physical Therapy services 5% - Educational Activities 5% - Miscellaneous Assignment Department Overview The primary purpose of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is to provide a full range of rehabilitation services designed to restore patients to their optimal functional capacity.
