The Territory Account Executive (TAE) is responsible for managing and growing a book of business in hospital and physician accounts. The TAE identifies important stakeholders within the hospital/physician office environment that are decision makers for testing services, provides continuing education to existing customers, and manages customer relationships. The TAE executes regional and national marketing strategies within the hospital ecosystem to key decision makers, and has call point ownership of key hospital and physician accounts in a specified geography.

This is a field-based sales role.


  • Drive sales of hospital accounts through targeting prospective markets, accounts and departments to secure thebusiness
  • Drive sales in physician accounts through pre-call planning, post-call analysis and consistent follow-up
  • Builds relationships at multiple levels within the account, with internal support positions and with operations to maximize the efficiency of processes.
  • Participate with regional leadership in developing plans for increasing volume and profitability in hospital and physicianaccounts
  • Provide immediate support for less complexissues
  • Educate new hospital and physician accounts on all processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timelytransactions
  • Implements fee increases or pricechanges
  • Leverage all tools and resources (including data, sales portal, target lists; Marketing Department, Laboratory resources, and regional resources as needed)
  • Maintain a breadth of knowledge of all connectivity products (i.e., Quanum, e-orders, e-prescribe)
  • Prepare and present proposals and bids to relevant customers in the hospital and physicianenvironment
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and governmentregulations
  • Complete all administrative tasks thoroughly andpromptly
  • Provide overall support and expertise to new & existingaccounts
  • Increase discretionary business through insuranceaccess
  • Partner with and notify Hybrid Service Representative on complex issues or when face-to-face or extensive service is required (if applicable)
  • Provide immediate support for less complexissues

Required WorkExperience:

  • Five years of experience in medical sales

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Healthcare Industry and general economics of business.

Skills:

  • Ability to develop and sustain strong customer relationships; strong planning and organizationalskills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Solid PC skill including Microsoft Software.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Required
