Senior Financial Analyst - Data Solutions

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical finance professional to support our growing Data Solutions Business with a focus on New Product Development initiatives. This role will be supporting core financial processes (Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly forecasts, Monthly and weekly reporting and analysis). The role will have a focus on New Product Development initiatives, partnering closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations, to assess financial feasibility, optimize costs, to ensure timely implementation across different systems and drive profitable growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial planning and analysis: Develop financial models, forecasts, and business cases to assess the viability and profitability of existing product performance and new product development initiatives

  • Cost analysis and optimization: Provide visibility to cost center spend, its sources of variation driving accountability on behalf of spend owners. Partner with R&D, supply chain, and operations teams to analyze product costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve overall profitability. Support value engineering efforts to enhance cost efficiency

  • Budgeting and forecasting: support the budgeting and forecasting process for operational expenses and financial performance tracking to targets. Provide regular updates and projections to support resource allocation and investment planning.

  • Stakeholders collaboration: work closely with various functions to have new products set up in a timely, consistent manner across regions and systems, assist Product management with products set up with pricing analysis and strategies to ensure competitive positioning while maintaining profitability

  • Performance tracking: monitor financial performance against projections, analyze variances and suggest improvements to maximize financial outcomes. Support ongoing product lifecycle management by assessing financial viability of product enhancements or extensions.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance Accounting, Economics or a related field (MBA, CFA preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, product finance or a related field, preferably in a high growth, technology manufacturing environment. Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Skills: strong financial modeling, analytical and forecasting skills. Proficiency in financial planning tools, ERP systems and Excel. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$76,000.00 - $141,100.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
