Key Recovery, located in Brookhaven, PA offers several outpatient groups for adolescents and adults requiring structured care during the day or evening, but who can continue to return home following their treatment. . Visit us online at: https://keystonecenter.net The Therapist provides direct patient care and is responsible for monitoring and delivering high quality services to dually diagnosed/chemically dependent patients in the outpatient setting. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu; assessment and documentation of progress/digress in treatment; delivering individual and group educational services; crisis intervention and full participation with the multidisciplinary team toward meeting a patient's treatment plan objectives. Qualifications
Job Specifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate ability to provide clinically sound interventions and services to varied populations including chemically dependent and dually diagnosed adult and/or adolescent patients. Be flexible to reassignment to areas to perform such interventions. Follow the lead of supervisors and Charge Persons to assure consistent and appropriate care. Education and Experience: A Master's degree in a related mental health discipline from an accredited college with one year experience. Knowledge: Must possess working knowledge of dual diagnosis / chemical dependency treatment approaches, 12 Step Program recovery philosophies, experience interacting in a supportive manner with adult and adolescent patients, limit setting and behavior management, crisis prevention and intervention techniques. Supervision Received: Clinical Coordinator Environmental Conditions: Professional office environment. Exposure to dually diagnosed patients who potentially may exhibit violent or aggressive behavior. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood/bodily fluids. Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Physical agility to manage patients. Push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds. Intermittent walking, bending and stooping.
