Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking a Technology Commerce Associate or Of Counsel with at least six years of experience to join the Minneapolis, Palo Alto, Salt Lake City, Dallas, or Seattle office. The attorney will work on the intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financings, and other multidisciplinary transactions. This attorney will also work on structuring, drafting, and negotiating a variety of intellectual property and commercial transactions, including license, service, development, distribution, and partnering agreements.
Dorsey's Technology Commerce practice is part of the Corporate Group and advises on a wide variety of high-stakes transactions and agreements that involve the development, transfer and use of intellectual property assets and the commercialization of products and services with intellectual property at their core. Our projects cut across all of our industry groups, and we negotiate agreements involving the latest emerging technologies. We are seeking a motivated self-starter with relevant experience working on the intellectual property aspects of a variety of corporate transactions, as well as relevant experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating intellectual property and commercial transactions. Candidates should also possess excellent writing skills, curiosity, strong teamwork skills, and an eye for detail. The following qualifications are required:
- A JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school with top academic credentials - At least six years of relevant law firm or in-house attorney experience handling a variety of licensing and technology transaction matters - Minnesota, California, Utah, Texas, or Washington bar admission or the ability to become admitted in Minnesota, California, Utah, Texas, or Washington - Strong communication and writing skills Dorsey offers a collaborative and dynamic environment, with competitive compensation and excellent benefits.
