Job Summary:

In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting client objectives and savings goals by analyzing and presenting data, assisting in strategy development, and providing key contributions throughout the full cycle of the contracting process. You will be tasked with implementing performance improvements, supporting project management activities, and identifying cost reduction opportunities. This position focuses on Indirect Spend / Purchased Services, encompassing areas such as materials management, patient care, support services, marketing, HR, and contract labor. You will work independently and collaboratively to drive impact and value for our clients while optimizing spend and enhancing operational efficiencies across these categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data analysis and present insights to support client goals and savings initiatives.

  • Execute assigned project tasks, prioritize workloads, and ensure timely achievement of project milestones across multiple client engagements.

  • Apply project management methodologies to guide and streamline work efforts.

  • Develop presentations and effectively communicate data-driven recommendations to client management.

  • Assist or lead contract negotiations, reviewing Terms and Conditions, price points, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with client needs.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, collaborating closely with internal teams.

  • Serve as a trusted resource for Project Leads, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Lead Generalists throughout project engagements.

  • Identify and propose improvements to products, services, tools, and methodologies, with opportunities to lead or support implementation efforts.

  • Contribute to the creation of intellectual capital materials, including case studies, benchmark reports, and market insights.

Qualifications & Education:

  • Relevant degree in Finance, Healthcare, or a related field preferred. Advanced degree preferred.

  • 2 or more years of relevant experience in consulting, data analysis, procurement, or contracting required.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

  • Experience with project management methodologies and an ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience in contract review, including evaluating Terms and Conditions and negotiating key contract elements.

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to process improvements and implement new methodologies.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required. Data and visualization tools, a plus.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients' needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $116,300.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
