Administrative Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Serena-Administration

REPORTS TO: Brent Dannenberg STATUS: Non-Exempt

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for performing clerical and accounting duties related to accounts receivable. Assists salesmen in organization of customer orders and product billing. Responsible for inventory reconciliation of fuel, LP and seed. Assists customers and reconciles cash for daily deposits.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assists with bank deposits and daily deposit reports.

Reconcile inventories by processing purchases, sales and related reports.

Customer billing of ag products such as seed, chemicals and turf items.

Ordering office supplies.

Serves as customer contact for statement questions and reconciles discrepancies.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

May be required to run local errands.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires prior work experience to demonstrate knowledge of basic accounting functions and computer systems and programs.

Understanding and experience with the reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, inventory, balance sheets, internal controls, petty cash, and billing.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Proven professional communication and customer service skills.

Proven computer and "attention to detail" skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

Demonstrated essential abilities business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
