Job Summary

To provide data management and reporting duties in the area of the district's school information system, state reporting, and training related to the maintenance of student records.

The salary range is $45,960 - 63,650 (12 months/260 days)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, with additional education desired.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are necessary.
  • Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Skill at organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Excellent teamwork skills are essential.
  • The ability to develop effective working relationships with diverse individuals at all levels is required.
  • Must have excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • A strong working knowledge of computer applications to include MS Office software, Infinite Campus and WISE state reporting is recommended.
  • Must be able to juggle numerous responsibilities with varying deadlines.
  • The ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports is required.
Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain district files for the Wisconsin Information System for Education (WISE) student state identification numbers for the student information system
  • Analyzes, corrects, and maintains for the Wisconsin Information System for Education (WISE) for assigned student database errors.
  • Analyzes, corrects, and maintains student enrollment elements which include but not limited to student demographics, retention, fall release forms, no show, etc
  • Prepares and maintains district files for the student information systems for student immunizations.
  • Analyzes, corrects, and maintains student record which include but not limited to duplicate student records, FRAM, address and cleanup, group homes, etc
  • Train other clerical staff on immunizations, student addresses and households
  • Train other clerical staff on School Selection, Student Management System and Student Data Base tasks
  • Prepares and maintains local school directory and school administration roster to update the state directory.
  • Processes all approved Preferred Name and gender change requests, along with uploading pertinent documents to the official student record.
  • Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
