The Receiving Specialist is responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing shipments of transformers into the facility. They will partner with load management on verification of inventory assets to ensure adherence to company standards. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards, and company policies are essential functions of this role.



  • Complete virtual warehouse transactions
  • Receive incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of items received against packing lists or purchase orders
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel
  • Label, sort, and distribute incoming materials to the designated storage areas
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming inventory, including tracking numbers, dates, and quantities
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials for production schedules
  • Assist in inventory management by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, hoist crane or pallet jacks to move materials within the shop
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area, adhering to safety guidelines and best practices
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve any receiving issues
  • Match incoming transformers unit information and assign inventory control number.
  • Sort incoming transformers- Scrap and Inventory.
  • Tag incoming transformers according to oil pumping guide and PCB content.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
  • Other assigned duties as needed.
  • High School or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of mechanical and/or electrical field experience preferred.
  • Basic skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
  • WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience preferred.
  • Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.
  • OSHA10 certified preferred.
  • A proven track record in safety excellence is required.
  • Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders.
  • Meet department and production goals set by supervisor.
  • Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment.
