Overview
Colliers Project Leaders is currently looking for a Construction Representative to join our team for full time temporary assignment in Lynn, MA. A Construction Representative is responsible for maintaining consistency among all CR services during the Construction phases of all projects in construction, as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for representing the Company independently on significant project matters.
- Reports status of projects to PMs, Sr. PMs and Dir, Construction Rep Services.
- Develops the construction phase logistics with PM and CR.
- Works with the CR to ensure proper Construction schedule oversight and management to ensure timely completion of all phases of construction.
- Acts as expert point of contact for all CRs under their leadership;.
- Coordinates and/or performs design reviews.
- Notifies PM, Sr. PM, or other senior staff of any major concerns.
- Act in the capacity of the project manager during construction and manages client relationships, if necessary.
- Oversee project financial duties performed by CRs and ensure they are up to date.
- Encourage collaboration between PM & CR as it relates to financial matters.
- Manages client relationships.
- Leads internal Colliers project team meetings, during construction phase.
- Assists CRs, PMs on resolving conflicts with contractors, vendors, and clients.
- Develops and leads Professional Development Training.
- Strategizes for interviewing process and seeks additional opportunities through fostering of existing relationships.
- Other miscellaneous related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Upon hire: 5+ years of construction expertise, preferably of K-12, institutional and/or commercial type.
- OSHA-10 certification required.
- Solid understanding of building construction, field construction, including codes & safety requirements.
- Solid understanding of sequencing and scheduling.
- Very good verbal and written communication skills.
- Very good organizational skills.
- Must be able to work well with co-workers, clients, and contractors.
- Requires strong technical experience such as envelope, MEP, and/or FF&E.
- Very good computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Internet research.
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
