* Base Pay Range: $145,808 - $237,848 per year, based on experience

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide management and leadership to oncology services departments. Serve as a member of the management team, assisting in institution long-range planning, policy and procedure development, and implementation. Participate in financial planning, preparing divisional budgets, and managing the revenues and expenditures per annual plans. Assist in developing new services and concepts within facility and professional services departments.

Develop with the Executive Director and Medical Directors, service line goals and objectives to provide direction of resources to ensure the future growth and stability of assigned services. Plan and develop work procedures, clinic service policies, and personnel policies specific to the department operation in compliance with MU Health Care system policies. Oversee and implement provisions of various personnel functions including, but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, and promotions and scheduling of professional and non-professional staff. This includes directly interviewing, selecting, training, evaluating, and counseling staff. Plan and develop department performance improvement projects and oversee their implementation.

Collaborate and communicate regularly with University Physicians from all departments to facilitate participation in applicable performance improvement or research projects and build interdisciplinary relationships across specialties. Oversee the development, coordination, and maintenance of daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of coverage and continuity of care across units. Direct the implementation and oversight of MU Health Care time and attendance policies and practices. May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in business administration, health administration, or a healthcare-related area.

Four (4) years of experience in healthcare administration, service line management, or supervision.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Oncology service line management experience. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
