JOB SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Office of Administrative Services. The position performs varied and responsible office support duties under close supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Provide office administrative support that includes, copier management, supply management, and data tracking.



  • Maintain building access records and issue access cards.



  • Report maintenance problems to Facilities via their online reporting tool.



  • Perform monthly building inspections and work with Facilities to maintain emergency plans.



  • Maintain building emergency kits and defibrillator.



  • Provide information and referral services to visitors and callers as a backup to the Resource Navigator while maintaining a customer-oriented environment.



  • Process and distribute Agency mail and incoming packages.



  • Occasionally act as a backup to the Administrative Coordinator at the Mona Center location in PG County.




EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:




  • High school diploma or GED.



  • 2 years of administrative work experience in an office setting.




SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:




  • Bilingual, Spanish-English.



  • Customer service skill and intermediate MS Excel and MS Word skills.
