The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for all activities on the loading dock. These duties include but are not limited to:

• Performing all receiving functions at the loading dock
• Delivering packages to satellite locations within two buildings
• Preparing packages for shipment via FedEx, UPS, and other carriers - including global HAZMAT shipping
• Using dock tools and equipment in a safe and acceptable manner
• Keeping loading dock and work area clean and organized
• Maintain stock in a small storeroom (< 100 stocked items) with the assistance of 1-2 other employees
• Communicating maintenance needs

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Packing and loading items correctly for shipment
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50-75 pounds frequently, move, bend, and lift
• Must be able to follow detailed directions and use computer system and RF Scanner accurately
• Maintaining an awareness of and consistently following procedures
• If procedures fail to result in desired outcome notifying supervisor
• Being involved in updates to procedures and suggesting improvements
• Completing projects as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education -High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years in a similar role for a chemical company
• RCRA and waste disposal experience
• IATA and Ground Shipping certification for hazardous materials required
• Familiarity with UPS World Ship, FedEx Ship Manager required, familiarity with SAP a plus
• Organized and detail oriented
• Reliable, must be at work and on time consistently
• Basic mathematical skills
• Forklift certification and/or training a plus
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Working knowledge of computers
