The Business Development Associate (BDA) is an exciting opportunity to grow and develop your selling skills as a part LoadPay's new customer acquisition team. LoadPay is TriumphPay's newly created digital bank services specifically designed for truckers. It enables carriers to get paid in minutes on approved invoices 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even on weekends and holidays. You will work on a fast paced, entrepreneurial team to add new customers and upsell existing customers. You will be selling to small and medium sized transportation companies and assisting in activating new digital banking accounts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual new customer activation targets with outbound calls to qualified carriers and process inbound leads. The role requires significant telephone communications and follow up with emails to drive new carrier LoadPay activations. Connect with carriers to understand their banking and payment challenges and articulate the unique benefits of the LoadPay solution. You will utilize open-ended questions to uncover carrier needs, wants, and challenges. You will link Triumph product features and benefits to the potential clients' needs and drive new banking relationships. You will also consult with existing customers and upsell new capabilities and services. Provide customer feedback to TriumphPay product teams regarding customer challenges and potential modifications or new Triumph products that could resolve those challenges. Maintains accurate records of all sales activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities including the use of Salesforce to maintain accurate records to maximize opportunities. Anticipates and seek out potential customers' objections and concerns. Effectively listens and responds to unexpected or challenging questions and effectively handling objections seamlessly. Follows up on customer issues to ensure resolution through appropriate internal and external resources. Collaborate with the internal teams to execute strategies that maximize reach and engagement in the LoadPay segment. Other duties may be included, as assigned by the manager, according to the needs of the LoadPay team.
Experience & Education The successful candidate will possess selling new customers, demonstrates analytical and critical thinking skills, and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:
Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. Will consider four (4) years' experiences in a similar sales environment in lieu of a degree. Significant phone sales experience required; 1- 2 years of direct sales experience preferred. Evidence of previous sales success and strong work ethic. Understanding of the logistics and transportation industry is a plus.
Skills & Abilities Required
Must have the desire and abilities to sell over the telephone 7-8 hours a day. High level of verbal communication skills and abilities. Demonstrates strong organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, initiative, and the ability to work well within a team, as well as independently. Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail and provide consistent follow-through is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel) and Salesforce preferred. Ability to understand, manage and communicate financial products. Ability to build/maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Self-directed and a self-starter with an entrepreneurial approach and hands-on experience with ability to plan and manage personal sales goals and objectives. Collaborate with the internal teams to execute strategies that maximize reach and engagement in the LoadPay segment.
