Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Research Program Manager to support and drive the success of the Microbiome Research Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of science, administration, and program development.

The ideal candidate will have a science and/or clinical-research background and an interest in being a strategic manager, responsible for directing operational initiatives, driving strategic program growth, and developing and maintaining relationships with diverse partners.

The MSK Microbiome Program has been a pioneer in studying the relationship between gut microbiome and cancer immunotherapy, particularly in the area of bone marrow transplantation. We work with human biospecimens, computational biology, clinical trials, and preclinical animal models.

Role Overview:

    Ensure smooth operation and continued growth of the program
  • Oversee program operations including leading budgets, communications, hiring
  • Coordinate grant applications
  • Developing relationships with diverse partners

Key Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree or PhD in biological sciences, health sciences, or a related field (strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex projects and set priorities effectively.
  • Experience with research budgets (preferred).
  • Experience with scientific writing, assembling grants, and/or research administration experience.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday
  • Reporting to: Jonathan Peled, MD, PhD; MSK Microbiome Program Director

Pay Range: $100,600.00-$161,000.00
