Job Description:The Clinical Patient Call Representative (CPCR) is assigned to the Centralized Access Call Center. The CPCR is the first point of contact for clinical-related patient questions. This individual will be responsible for answering, routing patient calls, and scheduling patient appointments per department guidelines. This position will also work with the physician and other members of the primary or specialty care team by performing various administrative patient-related duties. The CPCR also works to fulfill a variety of patient needs and ensures smooth patient flow within the departments, including gathering, organizing, and documenting healthcare data information.

Education:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent - Preferred

  • Completion of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program - Required

Experience:

  • 2 years of customer service - Required

  • 2 years of medical office experience - Required

Certifications/Licensures:

  • Epic - Proficiencies required for this position must be passed within 90 days of the start date

Skills:

  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems, and objectives

  • Trained in Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) general protocols with additional training specific to the department as required & Security Policies and Procedures

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding required

  • Proficient in keyboard and typing skills

  • Maintains professional and personal integrity

  • Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals

  • Ability to communicate effectively written and orally

  • Ability to possess visual capacity and hearing to monitor and use telephone equipment

  • Effective communication skills (good hearing, listening, and speaking skills)

  • Ability to deal diplomatically with all types of individuals under stressful situations

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology

  • Ability to work with the public in a professional courteous manner

  • Enjoys working with the public

Shift time may vary Work Shift:08.0 - 08:00 - 17:00 No Waive (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$27.29 - $36.85 Hourly
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
