SUMMARY
The Loan Servicing Senior Specialist is responsible for various duties supporting the loan servicing team. This position includes ownership of more complex job functions, loan level research with root cause analysis, creating and delivering procedures and training, and interfacing with other support functions outside of Servicing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handles more complex Loan Servicing job functions, which could include but is not limited to Attorney Prepared Loan Processing, Complex Commercial Loans, Data Quality, Reconciliations, Reporting, and Collateral Management.

  • Assists with customer service calls regarding account inquiries and error or complaint resolution.

  • Updates data in the servicing core system and documents customer contact.

  • Monitors department and employee facing procedures for accuracy and as needs surface or processes change, partners with direct manager to help update existing or create new procedures.

  • Trains on new or existing procedures and processes, as well as assists in the training of new hires into department job functions.

  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory guidelines and bank policies.

  • Engages in process improvement activities.

  • Helps monitor SLAs to partner with direct manager to ensure department work is completed timely and accurately.

  • Acts as a first level escalation point for complex customer inquiries.

  • Backs up support when Department Manager is Out of Office.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and/or oral form.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.

  • Ability to interpret documents to ensure they are correct.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred

  • 1-3 years experience in Lending Operations and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education required

  • Experience in operational processes, procedures, systems, and loan servicing regulations preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

We offer a competitive total compensation package including base salary and benefits. The anticipated pay range for this position is $23.57 to $35.35 per hour in WA and depends on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, education, and geographic location. Benefits include, but are not limited to, medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability benefits and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings account, employee assistance program, 401(k), Paid Time Off (new hires accrue at .069 per hours worked which equates to approximately 18 days per year inclusive of paid sick time) and up to 11 paid Federal holidays.
