Summary: Support the Bank's credit and commercial lending functions by actively underwriting commercial requests, modifications, and conducting line of credit and annual portfolio reviews while working with a team of lending and administrative staff to achieve the goals established for the department and the Bank. Location: This position is 100% remote within the Bank's footprint. Employee will work full time remote outside of a WesBanco location (may occasionally attend in person meetings, although primary functions of the role are performed remotely). Essential Duties and Responsibilities:include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Interprets financial statements, perform cash flow and personal financial statement analysis. Completes credit underwriting for annual relationship reviews, line of credit renewals and loan modifications with minimal assistance. Performs testing of commercial loan covenants. Develops initial underwriting and assess credit worthiness and financial strength of a commercial loan applicant with minimal assistance. Develops knowledge of lending standards, banking laws and regulations, and bank credit policies and procedures. Determines the need for additional information, and work with the Banker to obtain information necessary to formulate a credit decision. Presents facts concerning the credit worthiness of commercial loan applicants, loan structure, and other relevant matters to management. Assists with data gathering and review for various portfolio management projects where necessary. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to bank employees and bank customers. Capable of handling research and special projects, including coordinating with other departments. Detail-oriented and self-motivated to complete required tasks in an efficient and timely manner. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field required (Accounting or Finance preferred). At least two years of increasing responsibilities performing commercial credit underwriting and analysis, or commensurate accounting or finance experience required. Understanding of commercial loan structures and underwriting required. Experience with commercial real estate and commercial and industrial loans required. Formal Credit Training with proven analytical analysis preferred. |
