The primary purpose of this position is to create and develop new innovative products or technologies that add value to the market. This value can be developed through products driven by needs that Integer has identified, or through products requested by our customer partners.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Employees are expected to support the quality concepts inherent in the business philosophies of Integer, including a variety of job relates tasks which may not be specific to this position profile.
* Adheres to Integer Core Value and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
* Lead and manage engineers and technicians assigned within the group.
* Create and manage project plans for products or technologies that deliver high quality in a timely, fiscally responsible, fashion.
* Provide detailed fiscal management of customer funded projects to ensure accurate billing and timely payment
* Work with the marketing group to ensure the accurate placement of projects on the company priority list to maximize revenue and margin of the organization.
* Provide technical leadership, as well, in support of all projects within the engineering scope
* Ensure that project transfer is coordinated with other engineering and [production groups so as to maximize the effectiveness of the manufacturing operation once the development of the product technology is complete.
* Support the research and development of advanced materials, manufacturing techniques, and automation through the use of such materials, techniques, and automation upon transfer to manufacturing.
* Ensure that all quality manual requirements are completed for each project at the appropriate phase reviews.
* Work with the Quality function to ensure accurate testing of product, completion of process validations, and product validations.
* Reviews, initiate or approves product and process engineering drawings and layouts, engineering changes, and material and process specifications.
* Determine capital equipment requirements for new projects and coordinate with manufacturing to ensure timely, fiscally responsible, capital movement or acquisition.
* Function as a key customer contact for customer driven projects.
* Interpret and administer quality manual requirements and company policies and procedures.
* Provide opportunities for growth and development of personnel within the organization.
* Responsible for the appraisal of staff performance, recommend personnel placement, organizational adjustment and salary action.

* Interacts with customers as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
* Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
* Minimum Experience: 5 years relevant experience and 2 years in a managerial capacity, with requirement for formally or informally leading engineers or technicians. Previous experience in managing new product introduction to manufacturing preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:
* Specialized Skills: Demonstrated experience in project management, product and process development, and quality control techniques. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to plan and make sounds business judgements and decisions. Proven leadership and organizational skills along with the ability to motivate subordinates. Must be a results-oriented self-starter. Must be innovative in the development/revision of methods and the resolution of problems.
* Specialized Knowledge: Possess a detailed understanding of compliance requirements in a regulated industry.

Manager, R&D Salary: $125,400- $183,920
