Pine Street, a group within the firm's Human Capital Management division, develops and advises partners and select managing directors to lead the firm's people and businesses and to advance the firm's culture. In pursuit of this mission, Pine Street aims to be a world-class leadership development organization that enhances the reputation of Goldman Sachs as an institution committed to leadership excellence. Pine Street's core pillars of activity include succession planning, executive coaching & advisory, and leadership development programs, in addition to select advisory and programming for clients of the firm.
Vice President, Pine Street. This role is based in New York 5-days a week in-office.
Primary Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and deliver strategic, innovative, and practical leadership-based programs and solutions that address client needs in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Coach and advise a global, diverse group of senior leaders on leadership issues, including transitions, integration, and performance
  • Contribute to shaping the firm's overall leadership development strategy
  • Serve as a core team member for a variety of initiatives; take a hands-on approach with project management and program delivery
  • Build relationships across the senior leadership community to serve as a point of contact and trusted advisor
  • Adopt a collaborative approach with Human Capital and other colleagues to advance the firm's overall talent strategy; act in accordance with, and strengthen, the firm's values


Qualifications, Experiences, and Attributes



  • Master's Degree or PhD preferred (organizational psychology or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience building and delivering successful leadership development programs
  • Group facilitation and consultative skills
  • Ability to coach senior leaders, teach and speak on leadership topics
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; strong project management skills
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and demonstrated client service focus
  • Ability to function well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment that demands creativity, energy and excellence
  • Strong commercial orientation and good understanding of the firm's business
  • A curious, candid, and optimistic orientation


Preferred Qualifications



  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in leadership development programming
  • Minimum of 5 year of experience as an executive coach within an organization or as an external coach; coaching accreditation and/or accredited training preferred
  • Ability to travel ~10% of the year
