Job Description:Provides comprehensive Child Life services to pediatric inpatients, outpatients and their families, alleviating the potentially deleterious psychosocial effects associated with hospitalization and medical treatment. The Child Life Specialist uses expertise in child development to provide care that is family-centered and developmentally appropriate, to reduce stress, fear and pain, promote positive coping and maintain optimal development. Education: Bachelor's Degree Child Life Services Required or Bachelor's Degree Child Development Required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field - Behavioral Sciences Required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field - Human Development Required Master's Degree Preferred Experience: 3 years Direct Interaction with Children in a health, educational or treatment setting Required Certifications/Licensures: CCLS - Certified Child Life Specialist - Current Required BLS - Basic Life Support - Certification Required Work Shift:Exempt Days (Mon-Fri) (United States of America) Pay Range: $36.11 - $54.16 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area. Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
