Job Description: Senior Benefits Analyst - Health and Welfare Huntsman is seeking a Senior Benefits Analyst - Health and Welfare supporting the Compensation and Benefits department located in The Woodlands, Texas. Job Scope The primary responsibility will be to manage Huntsman's Health and Welfare benefit plans. In summary, as the Senior Benefits Analyst - Health and Welfare, you will:
- Oversee the administration and manage full end-to-end lifecycle of US employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, EAP, voluntary insurance, STD, LTD, BTA. Assist with global benefits.
- Manage relationships with benefit providers, work with consultant to ensure contract renewals and competitiveness of the benefits package.
- Oversee premium payments and invoices for vendors including conducting periodic audits.
- Partner with Finance, Payroll, HRIS, HR, and Legal functions as required regarding plan design, operations, contracts, funding, invoicing and accounting.
- Oversee disability plans in partnership with leave TPA and internal HR stakeholders.
- Design benefit-related materials (guides, benefits references) and facilitate benefit presentations for new hire orientation and annual enrollment.
- Maintain the employee and Global HR intranet SharePoint sites.
- Drive benefits education through ongoing communications and training to employees and HR to increase awareness, participation and understanding.
- Partner with benefits consultants to manage all federal, state, and local compliance, filings, reports, and audits related to the administration of employee benefit programs.
- Drive improvements by evaluating internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Stay abreast of benefit trends in the market, analyze, evaluate and propose improvements based on data, compliance and relevancy.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for benefits-related questions.
- Manage third-party benefits administration provider. Ensure high quality service, goals and projects are being achieved.
- Work on special projects related to benefits.
Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management or other related Business Administration field of study with 4-8 years professional experience administering health and welfare benefit plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- CEBS designation desirable.

- Strong interpersonal, communication and partnership skills to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Must have strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, while delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- Solid analytical capabilities, decision-making skills, and ability to exercise appropriate judgment.
- Driven, innovative, resourceful and critical thinker capable of adapting and driving change proactively.
- High level of discretion with strong integrity and the ability to effectively manage and maintain the confidentiality of information.
- Must have strong knowledge of ERISA, DOL and other regulatory requirements.
- Must have strong professional experience administering health and welfare benefit plans.
- Must be knowledgeable in benefit plan terminology.
- Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Workday, ADP Vantage, Fidelity PSW and working with third party benefits administrators (e.g., Alight, Empyrean, bSwift).
