* Base Pay Range: $28.52 - $46.52 per hour, based on experience

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Support the daily clinical medical physicist tasks.

Assist in acceptance, commissioning, and ongoing quality assurance of radiation-generating patient care devices.

Assist in the surveying of equipment and devices to maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Manage day-to-day activities such as clerical duties and patient care, as assigned by the supervising physicist.

Maintain activity logs documentation up-to-date equipment QA/QC.

Use mechanical tools for various aspects of device quality assurance and

testing.

May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in physics, physical science, or radiation therapy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in healthcare science or physical science, or a related area.

Experience in therapeutic radiation oncology.

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 50 lbs.

This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
