Engineering Team Leader

About the Role: We are looking for an Engineering Team Leader to join our team. In this role, you will lead the process engineering team. You will also ensure effective process development/commercialization of new products and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to improve stability, capability, quality, cost, and capacity, while maintaining team project priorities and resources.

This position will be located at our facility in Newark, Delaware, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:



  • Partner with Plant Leader, Supply Chain Leaders, BU Tech Leaders, and US Engineering Leader to understand and prioritize manufacturing business, and NPD/derivative product needs
  • Drive performance and engagement through coaching and feedback and hold others accountable for results
  • Drive effective execution of engineering projects and daily engineering support of manufacturing, including project definition, setting priorities, and tracking to measurable outcomes
  • Partner with US engineering leader to identify, deploy, and embed consistent engineering tools and processes through the value chain, including process control and stability, DFM, LEAN concepts, collaborating through the Phase Gate process & RWW, etc
  • Lead and develop associates related to functional best practices and leadership skills to ensure the team has the capabilities to meet the needs of the plant/business
  • Drive talent management and resource planning, including championing the hiring process
  • Lead team through change, specifically the SAP deployment and process modernization
  • Steward the Gore Culture and facilitate effective communication within and outside the team

Required Qualifications:



  • B.S. Degree in engineering or science
  • Minimum of 2 years formal People Leadership experience in complex environments
  • Experience in project management and multiple project prioritization
  • Demonstrated knowledge of process engineering fundamental disciplines
  • Actively demonstrate Gore's guiding principles and foster an environment of inclusion, authenticity, and humility
  • Strong interpersonal skills including communication and influence across different functions and teams
  • Demonstrated skill in mentoring and developing others
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing conditions and a track record of delivering outstanding results in new and challenging situations
  • Ability to travel up to 10%



This position requires access to export-controlled areas and information. Candidates must be "U.S. persons" as that term is defined in 8 USC *1324b(a)(3).
