The Position
We advance science so that we all have more time with the people we love Who We Are: The Department of Translational Medicine leads biomarker discovery and development efforts for programs in Early Stage Research through Phase III clinical trials for the disease areas of Ophthalmology, Metabolism, Neuroscience, Immunology and Infectious Diseases (TM-OMNI). We use relevant pharmacodynamic biomarkers to evaluate target engagement and mechanism of action of candidate therapies as well as prognostic and predictive biomarkers to guide patient selection and personalized healthcare strategies. Biomarker scientists within our department are responsible for developing biomarker strategies, designing and implementing biomarker assays, and interpreting biomarker results. Additionally, we conduct foundational clinical translational research to study the molecular and cellular pathways driving disease to generate novel target and biomarker approaches. Relocation benefits are available for this posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $141,500-$262,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
