HonorHealth is looking for a Practical Rad Tech (PTR) for the Urgent Care location in North Peoria. This is a growing and spacious location that has a team of Mas, Reg Sched, other PTRs and Advanced Practitioners who service our patients that are both sick and well from 6 months in age and older. The team has been together for some time so in addition to putting patient care first, they work well together, have fun, are award winners and is a great place to grow and start a career with HonorHealth. The ideal candidate must meet the minimum requirements of completion f a Practical Technologist program from an accredited school, have a current certification through MRTBE as well as a current Basic Life Support (BLS) card. To ensure success in the role open availability and flexibility are a must, willing to travel, the ability to learn the MA front office duties and triage in the back offices, as well as submit order that does not involve medication along with learning breath alcohol testing and drug screen collection as this is an OHM location for HonorHealth. Responsibilities Job Summary Under the direction of a radiologist, this position performs diagnostic procedures and demonstrates independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Assumes responsibility for tasks or procedures within the scope of a practical radiology technologist. Ability to produce high quality radiographic examinations and demonstrate independent judgment in a safe and timely manner, as ordered by a physician. Incumbent operates within the scope of practice for a practical radiology technologist. May be required to occasionally float between facilities.
Qualifications Education Other Has successfully completed a practical technologist in radiology program through an approved school approved by the Arizona Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE).
