What you'll be doing...The Verizon CyberSecurity Strategy and Program Office is seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to oversee the successful design and execution of key critical and highly visible CyberSecurity initiatives. Reporting into the Associate Director of the Program Management Office, this position will interface directly with the CyberSecurity leadership team, including the CISO, and require leveraging a broad technical acumen combined with deep project management skills to support and oversee projects specifically related to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI). The ideal candidate will have the experience to support the development of best practices associated with secure use of generative AI, AI-derived insights, orchestration and data protection. Though the candidate will partner with others to create a risk-based strategy for securing emerging technologies, they will be responsible for successful implementation of associated high-level project initiatives including solution communication, integration, governance and continual improvement. This will include drafting detailed, often technical, execution plans and leading matrixed teams to effective project delivery. Given the growth in the AI space, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including managing through others project managers, is critical. As the project leader, they will be the first point of escalation to communicate and remove potential impediments and barriers to success, while regularly interfacing to present complex ideas to Sr. executives while acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical individual contributors and the business. Success in this role will be recognized in delivery of projects that fulfill the CyberSecurity mission of the VCS organization. Responsibilities associated with the position include:

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $124,000.00 and $231,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. |
