Staff Accountant Vaco has partnered with a growing company in Wall, New Jersey that is looking to hire a Staff Accountant. This is a contract to hire position that will require you to be onsite 3 days a week. The Staff Accountant will be an integral part of the finance and accounting team and report to the Corporate Accounting Manager. In this role you will assist with the preparation of monthly journal entries, fixed asset accounting, capital expenditure tracking, account reconciliations (both cash and other accounts), preparation of monthly account analysis, preparation of internal and external reports, and annual audit support, as well as other duties as needed and assigned. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records for assigned areas of responsibility Track capital expenditure requests and spending Monthly account reconciliations Monthly closing journal entries and other close related duties Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules and other ad hoc reports Monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable subledger to general ledger Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: General accounting knowledge Fixed asset accounting knowledge Proficient in MS Excel Strong written and oral communication Strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting 2+ years in a public or corporate accounting or finance role Preferred but not required fixed asset accounting experience Intermediate or higher MS Excel skills Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP or similar current ERP system a plus Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
