Paralegal-Child Support Hourly Pay Range $23.68 - $35.52 Closing Date: April 1, 2025 Or sooner upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions received Job Summary: This position provides paralegal services to the Department of Child Support Services, including paternity and order establishment, and reviewing child support orders for a modification. Duties including interviewing for information gathering, locating parties, facilitating genetic testing, legal document preparation, scheduling hearings, filing and case management. This position enables the Department to meet establishment obligations mandated under Wisconsin law and by Title IV-D of the Social Security Act Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: This position requires time-management, oral and written communication, analytic and problem-solving skills. Candidates must have the ability to work independently, develop in-depth knowledge of Child Support Program laws, regulations and policies, and apply that knowledge to a wide range of situations to assist in the improvement of departmental performance. Candidates must be able to work effectively and harmoniously with other staff, case participants, the public and other agencies, and travel to offsite locations.
