Your Role:

MaineHealth Mid Coast Hospital is searching for a Cook! The Cook role is vital in maintaining the health and well-being of patients, families, and employees at the hospital. Responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals according to established recipes, understanding food hygiene practices and safety regulations, and working effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Food safety certification required (e.g., ServSafe) and must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
  3. Experience: One year of relevant food production experience required. One year of specialized culinary training or institutional/retail cooking experience preferred.
