WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

This individual will serve as an Analyst for the U.S. Capital Plan team, with a focus on Supporting Documentation. Their role will be key for our Category III transition and will include involvement in: Methodology Documentation, Policies and Procedures, Formal Review and Challenge sessions as well as their materials and documenting overlays.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Primary support for the buildout, coordination, and maintenance of the Capital Plan and Supporting Documentation, including:
  • Developing and implementing program-wide documentation standards to ensure a comprehensive approach;
  • Performing quality assurance of all Supporting Documentation to show a professional and consistent work product; and
  • Communicating feedback to relevant Supporting Documentation owners for incorporation.
  • Support the Capital Plan team with the production of the Capital Plan for both RBC US and CNB
  • Preparing initial drafts of Capital Plan chapters and associated key policy documentation;
  • Performing quality assurance reviews to drive professional and consistent work product;
  • Incorporating feedback from key stakeholders, senior management, and the Board of Directors;
  • Conducting ad-hoc analysis or tasks in support of the Capital Plan narratives
  • Execute on strategic initiatives, as needed, in support of the long-term operating model of the Capital Plan Team.
  • Review supervisory guidance and industry news to identify Capital Plan requirements, best practices, and trends.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis or tasks, as needed.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Business (Finance, Accounting), or other business oriented majors preferred
  • Writing and analytical capabilities commensurate with independent production of management-ready documentation work products
  • Strong understanding of macroeconomic metrics and broader impacts to global and U.S economy
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written, including presentation skills
  • Strong abilities in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio), Workiva (WDesk), and SharePoint.

Nice-to-have:

  • General understanding of Capital Markets, Retail Banking, and Wealth Management.
  • Work efficiently and collaborate across disciplines within the organization.
  • Strong consultative skills desired / preferred, inclusive of presentation, facilitation, structured thinking and project management experience.
  • Operationally savvy, action-oriented individual who continually strives for improvement

The expected salary range for this particular position is $65,000-$105,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
