ABOUT THE POSITION

The Production Analyst I supports scheduling of Columbia Sportswear products at the Distribution Center to ensure smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization. From managing the flow of groups of Orders (waves) to identifying problems upstream that may result in overall processing delays, you will fill a critical role to ensure product gets out efficiently!

Position Introduction

The Distribution Control Room team is looking for a Production Analyst who is customer support driven and has the technical skills to be the primary support for monitoring the production status of all departments in the Distribution Center. Multitasking, organizational, troubleshooting, and technical skills are key in order to create innovated solutions and meet expectations and timelines.

HOWYOU'LLMAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Proactively and continuously monitor wave process for problems and delays in the system that would result in inefficient shipping and/or processing. This includes tracking and identifying the source of delayed orders and identifying areas for improvement of systems and/or processes.
  • Provide high level of communication with Account Ops concerning status of orders
  • Identify areas of improvement in order to process and recommend solutions. Problem solve to handle issues regarding rush orders, priority orders, special orders, and orders approaching cancel dates.

YOU ARE

  • Able to support the Distribution Center's scheduling systems and interface with corporate Customer Service partners
  • Knowledgeable of general production and workflow practices and procedures.
  • Capable of working on projects with limited complexity and solve problems independently;
  • Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization;
  • Able to work in a fast pace, quickly changing environment to respond to customer needs;

YOUHAVE

  • College degree or equivalent specializing in production planning and/or systems administration.
  • One to three years' work experience in a distribution environment in positions of increasing responsibility
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management (WM) system, Excel, and experience with customer service
  • Ability to read system reports and forecast conditions in processing to formulate action plans and resolve problems
  • Above average computer and communication skills along with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
